HATTIESBURG (August 9, 2017) — The Historic Hattiesburg Saenger Theater is hosting
Blame the Comic and Friends comedy tour on Saturday, September 16 at 7 p.m.
Blame the Comic is an Internet sensation whose popular videos include “stuff mothers say
when” and other recognizable situations. His career began in 2004 with his appearance on
B.E.T’s comedy competition show “Coming to the Stage” and winning multiple national comedy
“We have had an overwhelming positive response from the community when we brought in
comedians in the past. We are delighted to offer another show of this type and to bring a
nationally recognized artist to the Hattiesburg stage,” Nathan Jennings, general manager for the
Historic Hattiesburg Saenger Theater, said.
Tickets to Blame the Comic & Friends are limited and range from $23 to $34 per person. They

The Historic Hattiesburg Saenger Theater is a 997-seat establishment built in 1929. Originally a
theater meant to show silent films, the building was one of seven Saenger Theaters built and
operated throughout the South by the Saenger brothers. Currently, the Saenger Theater is one of
six facilities operated by the Hattiesburg Convention Commission.
