Don’t miss Christmas on the Bayou Saturday, December 11.

Christmas on the Bayou is a lighted boat parade the whole family can enjoy. The parade hosts more than 50 lighted boats along Bayou Bernard and Gulfport Lake.

Gulfport Lake – Kremer’s Landing – Switzer Park – The Dock Bar & Grill – The Blow Fly Inn – Marina Cantina

The Parade begins in Gulfport Lake between “The Dock Bar & Grill” (north side) and the public boat ramps (south side). The City of Gulfport will erect bleacher seating (near the boat ramps on the south side of the lake) for public viewing. Boats will start gathering in the lake around 5:00pm. At 6:00pm the boats will begin the procession past the viewing stands and down Bayou Bernard to the conclusion at the mouth of the bayou at Big Lake. There will also be public viewing at Marina Cantina and The Blow Fly Inn, the foot of the Cowan Lorrain Bridge(Kremer’s Landing), and Switzer Park. It will take about one and a half hours for the boats to get to the Cowan Lorraine Bridge (about 7:30pm). At the end all boats will proceed down the Industrial Canal and rendezvous at “The Dock Bar & Grill” on the north shore of Gulfport Lake.
