BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - Saturday, November 11 is Veterans Day, and there is no shortage of events, celebrations, and freebies happening all across the Coast! Here’s a list of what’s going on:

All events are happening on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

• PASS CHRISTIAN: Gulf Coast Veterans Association Veterans Day Parade in Pass Christian at War Memorial Park, 11 a.m., starts near the railroad tracks, wraps up at the park

• MOSS POINT: Veterans Day Program in Moss Point at the waterfront, 11 a.m.

• D’IBERVILLE: MS Gulf Coast Veterans Day Parade 2023, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., starts at D’iberville Football Stadium, wraps up at RaceTrac

• GULFPORT: Bikes and Baristas Salute to our Vets, Perks Coffee Shop, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m

•VANCLEAVE: The Butcher on Tucker Veteran’s Day event, 10101 Tucker Rd, free meals to service members, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• LONG BEACH: Veterans Day Celebration & Parade, Long Beach Town Green, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., parade begins at 11, live music & food available

• WAVELAND: Waveland Veterans Day Parade, starts at 11:00 a.m. on Coleman Avenue

• PICAYUNE: Veterans Day Lunch hosted by American Legion Post 73, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., wreath ceremony at 11 a.m. at City Hall

• PICAYUNE: Veterans Day Party hosted by American Legion Post 73, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., live music from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m., veterans get free entry with proof of service, $5.00 for others

Freebies

All freebies listed below run on Saturday, November 11, unless noted otherwise:

• Applebee’s: Active-duty military, veterans, reserves, and National Guard that dine in-restaurant get a complimentary full-size entrée from a special menu. They will also receive a $5 Bounce Back Card to redeem for dine-in, To-Go, or delivery within a three-week redemption window.

• Arby’s: On Nov. 11, Arby’s will offer veterans and service members a free Classic Roast Beef sandwich, valid only at locations in select markets. Offer available for past and present armed service members. Must show valid proof of service or be in uniform.

• Bayou Vista Gulf Course: Bayou Vista Golf Course is giving all veterans free golf on Saturday, Nov 11th. Tee times are recommended and veterans must show proof of service.

• Buffalo Wild Wings: Veterans and active-duty service members get a free order of 10 Boneless Wings and Fries with valid ID. Only available for dine-in. Buffalo Wild Wings GO locations will be included for walk-in/order at the counter only.

• Chicken Salad Chick: Veterans and active-duty military will receive a free meal at all locations.

• Chick-fil-A: Chick-fil-A offers a free chicken sandwich for all active-duty personnel and veterans at participating franchises. Show your military or veteran ID when you ask for a military or Veterans Day discount.

• Chili’s: Veterans and active-duty service members get a free meal from a select menu with proof of service. Available for in-restaurant only.

• Chipotle: In honor of those who serve, Chipotle Mexican Grill offers our country’s heroes a special thank you with a buy-one-get-one offer from 5 p.m. to close on the Tuesday before Veterans Day. Valid only on November 11, 2023.

• Circle K: On November 11, Circle K is offering free coffee through the Circle K app to thank veterans and active-duty military personnel. To redeem, download the Circle K mobile app and follow the instructions under Deals tab. Valid at participating stores.

• Coast Transit Authority (CTA): CTA will honor all veterans by offering FREE unlimited rides for veterans throughout the day. To ride free on CTA buses on Veterans Day, veterans may board any CTA Fixed Route bus and mention that they have served in any branch of the United States Armed Forces. Veterans who have not tried transit before are encouraged to ride, and those who know a veteran are welcome to invite a veteran to ride.

• Cracker Barrel: Veterans and active-duty military get a complimentary slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola® Cake, in-store and online, with any purchase. Use code VETSDAY22 at checkout.

• Denny’s: Veterans and active military personnel get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam on November 11, from 5 a.m. to noon. Dine-in only.

• Dickey’s Barbecue Pit: Veterans and active-duty military get a free Pulled Pork Sandwich on November 11. Valid in-store, and online/app for carryout.

• Dunkin’: Veterans and active-duty military get a free donut of their choice at participating locations. Offer available in-store only.

• Golden Corral: Golden Corral is hosting their Military Appreciation Night on November 13 from 5 p.m. to close. This includes a free “thank you” meal when dining in.

• Hard Rock Cafe: Active-duty military and veterans get a free Legendary Burger on November 11. Dine-in only with valid ID.

• Hooters: Active-duty military and veterans get a free entrée from the Hooters Veterans Day Menu with the purchase of a beverage at participating locations. Dine-in only.

• IHOP: Veterans and active-duty military get free Red, White, & Blueberry Pancakes or Pancake Combo on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dine-in only, at participating IHOP restaurants nationwide.

• Krispy Kreme Donuts: Veterans and active-duty military can start their Veterans Day off with a free breakfast at Krispy Kreme that includes a doughnut of choice and a small coffee. No purchase, ID, or coupon is necessary.

• Little Caesars: Veterans and military personnel can get a free lunch combo between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Veterans Day 2023.

• Logan’s Roadhouse: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free meal with a valid ID from a special menu at participating locations. This offer is available for dine-in only from 11 am – 3 pm.

• Longhorn Steakhouse: Veterans and active duty military members receive 10% and one free appetizer or dessert for their table.

• Margaritaville Resort Biloxi: Buy one burger, get one burger free at Margaritaville Cafe. Buy one $25 game card, get one $25 game card free. Must present military ID.

• McDonald’s: All veterans and active duty military visiting showing valid ID at participating McDonald’s restaurants will receive a free Breakfast Combo Meal from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

• Mississippi Aquarium: All Veterans and active-duty service members can visit for free on Nov. 10, 11, and 12. During the weekend, accompanying family members get $5 off general admission.

• O’Charley’s: O’Charley’s offers veterans and active-duty military a special free lunch menu on November 10 and 11. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, veterans can order one free entrée from the special menu and/or receive a free slice of pie at dinner. Both offers are for dine-in only.

• Olive Garden: Olive Garden is having a Veterans Day free meal for all active-duty military and military veterans on Thursday, November 11, 2023.

• Outback Steakhouse: Active-duty military and veterans get a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage with the purchase of an adult entree in-restaurant on November 11.

• Pilot Flying J: Service members and their families get a free meal at participating locations from November 10 to 12 through a special offer in the app.

• Red Lobster: Veterans, active-duty military and reservists get free printed meal vouchers for Veterans Shrimp & Chips from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm local time on November 11. Guests need to show a valid military ID or proof of service. The voucher can be redeemed beginning November 13 through December 10 for dine-in only.

• Ruby Tuesday: With a valid ID, you can enjoy a free sandwich with tots or fries! With some form of military ID.

• Smoothie King: Active-duty military and veterans get a free smoothie from one of three red, white, and blue smoothies at participating locations with a valid ID.

• Starbucks: Starbucks is honoring those who have served with a free tall (12-ounce) hot or cold brewed coffee for veterans, military service members, and military spouses who visit participating U.S. stores.

• Texas Roadhouse: Texas Roadhouse will hand out dinner vouchers at the stores’ parking lots on November 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Veterans and active-duty military can redeem their dinner vouchers when the restaurant opens for dinner through May 30, 2023.

• Wendy’s: Active-duty military and veterans get a free breakfast combo on November 11 at participating locations from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m.

• Zaxby’s: Zaxby’s offers a free Signature Sandwich (Sandwich Only) on November 11 for Zax Rewardz members, redeemable through Zaxby’s app. Eligible Signature Sandwiches for the offer are the Zaxby’s Signature Sandwich and the Zaxby’s Spicy Signature Sandwich. The offer is unique to each Zax Rewardz account and redeemable one time for a free Signature Sandwich. Valid at participating locations and redemption is subject to availability.
