Wear Blue: Run to Remember

Friday, May 24, 6:30 a.m.

Biloxi Lighthouse

The run will begin 7:00 a.m. at the Biloxi Light House parking area beach side.
Kids and Strollers are welcome. Wear blue is a running community that honors the service and sacrifice of the American Military. Our running community unites and supports military and their families, veterans, Gold Star families, and civilians through active remembrance and meaningful relationships. We motivate and empower individuals to healthier, more inspired living.’

Mississippi Memorial Day Blowout

Friday, May 24 through Monday, May 27

Gulfport Dragway

‘Annual event offering a wide array of events such as three racing classes, street war racing, eight bike show classes, unique events to enjoy and live music.’

St. Clare Seafood Festival

Friday, May 24 through Sunday, May 26

St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland

Friday 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Admission is free

‘Featuring fantastic food of all kinds and of course seafood, carnival rides, live music, crafts, silent auction, raffle and a classic car show. Proceeds benefit St. Clare Catholic Church. Friday Night: Festival opens with a tribute to the military – 5pm, Nick Perkins, Elvis Impersonator -5:15pm, Dave Mayley Band 7:30pm. Saturday: Classic Car show – 8am, Sippian Soul with Pat Murphy – 12pm, Mass – 4pm, “Category 6” Band – 7pm. Sunday: Cornhole Tournament hosted by Brett Ladner – 1pm, Brandon Hogue & Kameron Jackson – 1pm, Foret Tradition – 7pm
Fireworks – 10pm’

Jones Park, Gulfport

Admission is free

‘Enjoy an open air Memorial Day concert featuring patriotic selections, quality music, and fireworks. Bring your picnic baskets, blankets, lounge chairs, and enjoy the music & show – all overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Presented by the Gulf Coast Symphony.’

Sounds By The Sea

Sunday, May 26

Beach Park, Pascagoula

Pre concert music 7 p.m., Symphony concert 7:30 p.m.

Admission is free

‘Enjoy the rhythms of sounds by the sea. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to the historic Beach Park located on the Gulf of Mexico in Pascagoula. Listen to performers from local church choirs in a Freedom Chorus and musicians from the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra at Sounds by the Sea. Families can have picnics and stroll along the beachfront area. The Sounds by the Sea is culminated by a gigantic fireworks display on the beach. Presented by the Gulf Coast Symphony.’
