Mississippi’s Free Fishing Days

This weekend begins National Fishing and Boating Week and Mississippi is kicking it off with Free Fishing Weekend on June 6 and 7. This means any person may saltwater sport fish without a license in the marine waters of Mississippi (waters south of Interstate 10) during Free Fishing Weekend. Although anglers are not required to have a recreational saltwater license for Free Fishing Weekend, they still need to adhere to all size and possession limits. You can find Mississippi’s Rules and Regulations Guide at dmr.ms.gov/recreational-fishing.
