Here’s a look at several upcoming St. Patrick’s Day parades and events along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Tuesday, March 12

Uncorked: St. Paddy’s Block Printing

Walter Anderson Museum of Art, The Art Cottage, Ocean Springs, 8 p.m., $20 per person, $15 per member

‘WAMA’s “Uncorked” series invites adults to bring their own beverages and enjoy accessible fine art workshops in the studios and on the picturesque porch of The WAMA Art Cottage. In this adult block-printing workshop, participants create their own fine art prints inspired by coastal greenery and the intersecting stories of Walter Anderson and Saint Patrick.’

Friday, March 15

Shamrock Shuffle Fun Run

Pecan Park Elementary School, Ocean Springs, 9 a.m.

‘We are so excited to announce the fun run this year will be held March 15th, 2019! Mark your calendars, the Shamrock Shuffle is going to be a blast! Music, games & prizes! Parents invited to come and cheer them on! We will be sending home packets for flat donations closer to the date of the event. 100% of proceeds directly benefit Pecan Park Elementary and it’s students. More details to follow. Poker Run & Pub Crawl

131 Lameuse St., Biloxi, 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

St. Patrick’s Day Night Parade – O’Blarney Society

Downtown Pascagoula, Delmas Ave., 7 p.m.

‘The O’Blarney Society and Main Street Pascagoula will team up again to present the 4th Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in downtown Pascagoula. Most parades have grand marshals and a Colleen, but what makes this St. Patrick’s Day Parade unique is that local, everyday heroes serve in these roles for the parade.’

Celebrating The Luck of The Irish – Lynn Meadows Discovery Center Style

246 Dolan Ave., Gulfport, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Price: $12.50

‘Join us in catching a leprechaun at LMDC for a demonstration style St. Patrick’s Day cooking class. Have fun making a special Irish day craft and maybe finding the Pot of Gold. Bring your camera to capture memories of the night. Oh..Don’t forget to wear your green! Menu includes Leprechaun Taco Roll Ups, Somewhere over the Rainbow fruit kabobs, Pot of Gold punch, and Shamrockin Pudding. Ocean Springs St. Paddy’s Day Celebration

Grillin’ on the Green

710 Beach Blvd., Biloxi, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

‘Go green and celebrate at this family fun event featuring a BBQ competition, arts & crafts vendors, live entertainment all day, children’s play area, and more fun activities. There will be a variety of barbecue for event patrons to choose from. With everything from ribs and brisket to seafood, there will be something for every palate.’

Rhythm & Rain at Grillin’ on the Green

Biloxi Town Green, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

‘We’re back at Grillin’ on the Green in 2019! Come see Rhythm & Rain on the Biloxi Town Green on Saturday, March 16 from 10 AM – 12 PM for this “Top 20 Event in the Southeast” as selected by the Southeast Tourism Society. There will be a BBQ cook-off, arts & crafts vendors, a children’s play area and live entertainment all day. Admission is free.’

Hibernia St. Patrick’s Day Parade & 5k run

Downtown Biloxi, Derby run starts at 9 a.m., parade starts at 2 p.m.


‘A parade featuring bands, military units, flag bearers, bagpipers, leprechauns, a horse-drawn carriage with the parade’s Grand Marshal and Colleen, and colorful floats tossing Irish trinkets, green beads, and doubloons. Irish Derby/5K Run held in conjunction with the parade. Presented by the Hibernia Marching Society & The Gulf Coast Running Club. The parade begins at the Biloxi Yacht Club on Hwy 90 and ends on Esters Blvd.’

Downtown Ocean Springs, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

‘The festivities will begin at 10am with local shops and galleries offering green specials, live music and more. Restaurants and bars will soon join in turning St. Patrick’s holiday into a “lucky” bash serving something green or Irish inspired with festive music and lucky charms. The fun continues at 5pm with more drink specials and live music at participating locations.’

Waveland St. Patrick’s Day Parade

City Park, corner of Central & Waveland Ave., Waveland, 1 p.m.

‘The Parade route will line up on Waveland Ave and go down Central Ave to Colman Ave, then to the beach and back up Waveland Ave. Big Trucks will go to Lakeshore Rd. Hosted by the Waveland Civic Association.’

Krewe of Blarney Halfast Walkin’ Klub

Pass Christian Downtown Shopping District, 133 Davis Ave., Pass Christian, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., free to everyone wearing green.

‘The Krewe of Blarney marks its 25th year during its Parade Walk of 2019 on St. Paddy’s Day. From early on, the Krewe was a take off from the Pete Fountain Halfast Walking group in New Orleans. It is the only St. Paddy walking parade on the Gulf Coast. Anyone wearin’ Green can join in the parade. Golf carts and autos follow behind. The Grand Marshall is Victor Pickich and the Colleen is Celest Plaisance. The route will start at the Pass Christian Post Office by going south on Davis Avenue and will continue to Scenic drive where it will turn west and end in front of Bacchus restaurant where the street will be closed for an official block party. The parade will include the Bay Ratz drumline, the Boy Scouts, the Topless Riders Convertible Club, decorated golf carts, along with a few antique cars and fire trucks and many walkers including the Kaptian’s of the Krewe of Blarney. Everyone is invited to the parade and the block party after.’

St. Paddy’s Day with The Tall Boys

Southport Line, Biloxi, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

‘Join us Saturday, March 16th for the Biloxi St. Patrick’s Parade! Live Music by The Tall Boys. Green Beer. Irish Whiskey. Food Specials.’

Shenanigan’s on Fishbone Alley

Fishbone Alley, Downtown Gulfport, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
