The Tall Boys: Pontoon Boat Mardi Gras Float

GulfCoastWeekend.com

One foggy afternoon in February, Willie J. Robinson, Johnny W. Ponytail and Curtis K. Tomlinson found themselves lost in the boggy woods of Jackson County. Vancleave, Mississippi to be exact. Riddled with mosquito bites and completely sober, things were looking bleak for The Tall Boys. Eventually, they stumbled onto the right path that put them smack dab in the friendly confines of Camp We-B-Gone, home of the legendary Mystic Krewe of Pine Island.

Always welcoming, the krewe loaned the boys some gear, Coors Light, and inspiration for their next big hit, ‘Pontoon Boat Mardi Gras Float.’ We’ll never know if it was divine intervention, good karma, or plain dumb luck that put The Tall Boys on this fortunate path. But thanks to the Mystic Krewe of Pine Island, we have a Mardi Gras song that will live forever. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Make plans to attend the Mystic Krewe of Pine Island Parade on Saturday, February 23.
