The Ground Zero Hurricane Museum is temporarily closed due to Covid-19
Waveland’s Ground Zero Hurricane Museum was established by Lili Stahler-Murphy in 2013. The museum resides inside what was originally Waveland Elementary School, established in 1927. There are several featured exhibits that showcase the devastating effect Hurricane Katrina had on Waveland, Miss., ground zero of the storm. Normal hours of operation are Tuesday thru Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, donations are appreciated.
