BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - Driving over the Ocean Springs-Biloxi Bridge, you can’t help but notice the old Margaritaville building that closed a decade ago.
Now, that facility is getting a makeover with the new Hammered Harry’s set to open.
Shaun Parker with Shaun Parker Construction says that Hammered Harry’s will include many different entertainment options.
Parker says, “This area is going to be a children’s area that’ll have a restaurant, a Hammered Harry’s restaurant, and then in the back over here we’ll have a Cat’s Meow Karaoke Bar. We’ll have an axe-throwing bar over there in that vicinity, we’ll have an event center for MMA fights things like that, concerts. You’ll have a speakeasy in the back and another bar in the middle area.”
Construction began back in February and is set to open in seven months.

Parker says construction has run smoothly and he sees this becoming a destination spot.
Parker says, “I think it’s going to be a destination place really. There’s so many different things in one location. You can come and go sing karaoke, watch a fight, throw axes... there’s just so many different things to do in one spot. You won’t come and stay for an hour or two, you can come spend the day.”
Parker also says that Hammered Harry’s is something the city needs.
Parker says, “Biloxi needs it. Downtown Biloxi needs it, downtown’s growing. I think this will be a very good area and a very good place for downtown Biloxi.”
Along with the features Parker listed, construction also consists of dressing rooms for entertainers along with office spaces upstairs.
