BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WLOX) - The Blind Tiger Butcher Shop and Deli, a popular dining spot and hangout on Blaize Avenue in the Bay St. Louis Depot District, is rebranding as the Butcher Block Steak House and Bar.

The restaurant says the transformation was in part due to the growing popularity of its daily steak specials, which have become a favorite of both locals and visitors.

“Butcher Block brings our steak specials together with an expanded menu,” said owner Thomas Genin.

Steak specials offered include:

  • 8 oz. Filet Mignon for $19.99
  • 12 oz. Prime New York Strip for $24.99
  • 12 oz. Ribeye for $19.99

“We realized that the demand for great steak at an affordable price was stronger than we could have imagined,” said managing partner and general manager Scott Sutherland. “Our goal has always been to provide an exceptional dining experience without breaking the bank. With Butcher Block, we are able to bring that vision to life in a big way.”

In addition to the steak specials, the full menu will include a variety of items, such as fresh salads, sides, grilled entrees, local favorites and butcher’s selections. Plus, deli items will still be available.

Butcher Block says the Backyard Beer Garden with features such as a a sandbox for kids, games, ‘the largest TV in Bay St. Louis," beers on tap and more, will remain as is.

The Butcher Block Steak House and Bar is now open at 126 Blaize Avenue.
