BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - The poster for the 96th Annual Blessing of the Fleet, happening in Biloxi on July 6, was revealed this week.
The Biloxi community met at the St. Michael Family Life Center (FLC) for the unveiling of the poster, which features artwork from local artist Amber Barstow.
This is the third year in a row Barstow’s art has been selected for the poster to showcase what this event is all about.
Blessing of the Fleet Committee Member Jamie Gollott says the poster encapsulates the Gulf Coast seafood industry.
“It’s beautiful,” Gollott said. “Definitely representative of our heritage and what we stand for as an organization... and just remembering those who have given their lives to the seafood industry.”
