GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - Tony’s Brick Oven Pizzeria in downtown Gulfport reopened on Wednesday under new ownership.
“I see a lot of potential in this place,” said Kitchen Lead Steven Warden. “We have new owners who have a lot of experience.”
The new owners are no strangers to the Coast; they also own Pisano’s and Empanola.
The restaurant expanded into the building next door to provide a wider dining area and a more exclusive experience. The restaurant also received fresh paint, new light fixtures, roofing, and more.

While there have been some changes, the menu still includes all the favorites, including pizza, sandwiches, wings, and pasta.
“I would say 90 percent of the menu is the same for right now,” said Warden. “For the time being, it is pretty much Tony’s vision and Tony’s idea that he had when he first opened up, but with just a little bit of new here and there.”
Warden, who has been the kitchen lead for six years, said he has high hopes for the future.
“Maybe a couple of stores throughout the state, and who knows, maybe a whole franchise for the place, that’s what I would love to see.”
Tony’s Brick Oven Pizzeria is located at 2417 14th Street in Gulfport.
