These are GCM’s top five events for the week of July 30-August 5, 2025.
- Shuckers Sunday Fun Day
- Sunday, August 17 vs. Columbus Clingstones
- Gates open at 4 p.m.; first pitch at 5:05 p.m.
- Get 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 chips and 4 drinks for $76 (plus $19 for each additional ticket)
- Pregame autographs, special Shuckers poster giveaway for the first 150 fans.
- Run the bases and play catch after the game.
- “Celebrate with us as we welcome religious groups from across the Coast for a night of community, connection, and baseball.”
- Jurassic Quest
- Friday, August 15 through Sunday, August 17
- Life-sized, skyscraping dinosaurs, one-of-a-kind walking dinosaur rides, life-sized Tyrannosaurus rex skull, fossils and more.
- Held at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi.
- Cinema by the Shore
- Thursday, August 15, at Jones Park in Gulfport.
- Activities & food trucks begin at 6 p.m., movie starts at dusk.
- Free admission.
- “Join us for a night full of feelings—literally! Inside Out 2 is coming to the big screen at Cinema by the Shore, and you don’t want to miss this emotional (and fun!) adventure under the stars."
- Family Wheel Day at Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art
- Sunday, August 17, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Ages 8+
- “Our instructors will help you create two pots to keep, and we’ll glaze and fire them for you. Beginners are welcome, no previous experience is necessary. Work is ready to pick up in about two weeks. Please wear clothes and shoes you can get dirty!”
- Parent or guardian must also register for class.
- Sit, Stay, READ! Children’s Reading Program at Pass Christian Public Library
- Saturday, August 16, from 10 a.m. to noon
- “We invite all children to read to therapy dogs! Just drop by anytime between 10 AM and noon at the Pass Christian Library. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to improve their reading skills in a fun and enjoyable way. The therapy dogs and their pet partners love it when children read or look at books with them. This program is a family-friendly event.”
- Reading sessions typically last 30 minutes.
- Children are rewarded with bookmarks, stickers, or pencils for participating.
- Free admission.
