MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - MoonPie Over Mobile New Year Celebration has posted its schedule of activities for New Year’s Eve on its Facebook page.

A Kids Zone gets underway at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mardi Gras Park. At noon, the MoonPie Noon Year’s Eve Drop will take place for the kids.
The cutting on the world’s largest edible MoonPie will be at 7:45 p.m. in the Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel courtyard. The musical acts get underway at 8:45 p.m., with headliner Morris Day and the Time taking the stage at 11 p.m. followed by the MoonPie Drop at midnight.

The city of Fairhope is hosting its annual New Year’s Eve celebration.

The event will kick off a 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in downtown Fairhope. There’s going to be live music, along with family friendly activities like face painting, balloon animals and games.
The night will cap off with a midnight ball drop and fireworks.
The celebration is free.
In Orange Beach, a big New Year’s Eve celebration will take place at The Wharf beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Families can enjoy bouncy inflatables, face painting and more. There will be a special kids confetti drop at noon.

The event will feature live music and plenty of other fun activities, leading up to the marlin drop at midnight, followed by a dazzling fireworks display.
The shops and restaurants at The Wharf will be open for extended hours.
In Florida, fireworks will help ring in the new year over Pensacola Beach. They are set to go off at midnight Wednesday overlooking the Santa Rosa Sound from the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk.

The fireworks display is provided by the Pensacola Beach Chamber, the Santa Rosa Island Authority and the Escambia County Tourist Development Council.
