BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - Boomtown Casino has reopened its BAYkery, bringing back a local confectionery destination that closed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday to mark the reopening.
The BAYkery had been an East Biloxi staple since Boomtown opened in 1994. It now offers classic favorites, such as handcrafted pastries, alongside new products and services, including roasted nuts, made-to-order cakes, and PJ’s coffee.

“I like to make people happy. Everyone wanted to see the buffet come back, and everyone wanted to see the bakery come back because they bought their cakes and pies here all these years,” said Barry Regula, general manager. “We saw the opportunity, and we thought, why not?”

The BAYkery’s reopening follows the return of Boomtown’s buffet in April of last year. The casino has now returned to pre-COVID operations.
