GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - Setup is underway for the fourth annual Gumbo Fest.
This year’s festival will be held next to the Mississippi Aquarium.
The event is free to attend, but to participate in the gumbo tasting, tickets must be purchased.
Live music and over 60 vendors will be set up for attendees.
The festivities begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21.

“This is a fun opportunity to bring the community together to showcase every city on the Gulf Coast,” said Kristen Garriga, executive director of Gulfport Main Street. “You know, the Coast is really like a gumbo. Everybody comes together and it’s a good time, so we’re thrilled to continue this year after year, and like I said, it gets bigger and bigger every year and it’s just a lot of fun.”
The gumbo tasting will begin at 11 a.m.
