BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WLOX) — A new hangout spot is coming to Bay St. Louis, but it’s bringing something that downtown is missing: fun for kids.

A group of local developers already tore down the old real estate office at 105 N. Beach Boulevard to make room for the business described as a “bar-cade.”

“First three stories are gonna be nothing but arcade games, then the fourth story will be an upscale bar where the parents can hang out,” co-owner Miles Corbitt said.

Corbitt partnered with brothers Jordan and Field Nicaud to bring the development to life. They’re calling it Bay Play.

The collaboration means the arcade will feature food from the Nicauds’ restaurant, Field’s. Despite the crowded restaurant space, Corbitt believes this business will bring in an untapped market: kids.

“[My daughter] and her friends go to coffee shops and that’s about it,” Corbitt told WLOX News. “We’ll have incentives for good grades, good report cards, to where they can trade those in to get credits to play.”

The arcade is expected to open in 2027.
