D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WLOX) - Combining a love for the outdoors with Coast Life adventure has launched a one-of-a-kind career path for Zach Rushing — a rising comedian who is also building his own wildlife merchandise brand.
“Bass, Bucks and Birds was established in 2019 in Woolmarket,” explained Rushing.
Triple B Outdoors was just an idea Rushing wrote on a napkin at a hunting camp.
“I asked my buddy, ‘What is this [napkin]?’ He said, ‘Last night, you were on that Wild Turkey and you kept saying you were going to create an outdoor brand, you were going to do one for the good ole boys, it was going to be the poor boy’s Bass Pro Shops, and you were going to give back to veterans.’ So, I picked up that napkin and said, ‘That’s a good idea, let’s do it.’”
Now, Rushing runs a retail store in D’Iberville catering specifically to the needs of fishers and hunters on the Coast. His first product was a Triple B hat.

“I gave one to my dad, one to my grandpa, I took one and I sold nine of them. When I sold nine, I bought 24. When I sold 24, I bought 48.”
Rushing is selling a lot more hats now. His journey to where he is included a college football career at the University of Wyoming, cut short by a cancer diagnosis. He fought cancer the same way he fights everything: head on. Rushing’s father set the example for him. He honored his father by naming the bait shop in his store Big L’s Bait Shop.
“He had the main factor in making me the man that I am and the storyteller that I am for my comedy. Pop, I know you can hear me upstairs — there’s a lot of people down here that like it."
A storytelling style that can be described as brash, blunt and rooted in real life has turned Rushing into a social media sensation. His comedy videos have been viewed millions of times.
“My version of comedy is life experiences. I am a storyteller very close to another Mississippi man by the name of Jerry Clower. That way I look at life, you don’t have to create comedy. You don’t have to make up jokes. You just need to look around you, because the world we currently live in is hilarious. I’m in a position where I don’t have to worry about a boss who says, ‘You can’t say that.’ I can say it, and I will.”

Rushing is taking his act on the road. He’s in the middle of the 80-stop “Redneck Logic Tour” across America.
“I’m able to show the redneck dream being lived. In my mind, the redneck dream is to be around the things you love, be around the people you love and do the things you love.”
With a growing business, Rushing is planning to expand Triple B Outdoors soon while continuing to entertain millions online.
“If you want to accomplish anything, you’ve got to meet God halfway. He’s not going to give you wealth; he’s going to give you the opportunity to be wealthy. He’s not going to give you health; he’s going to give you the opportunity to be wealthy. I’m going to put in my work and see where the good Lord takes me.”

Later this year, Rushing is planning to wrap up his Redneck Logic Tour on the Coast in October with a two-night show at what would be the newly reopened Saenger Theatre in Biloxi. He’s also expecting a comedy special to be filmed during those shows.
“They asked me where I wanted to do it, and I said I wanted to go home because I know the people around here, I know the support I have around here and I know they relate to me. I want to put on a good show, and I want my hometown to be included in the first comedy special to ever be filmed in Mississippi.”
According to Rushing, the Biloxi shows are scheduled for Oct. 23 and 24. An announcement on ticket sales will be coming up in the next few months.
