GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - The Mississippi Gulf Coast alumni chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is hosting an immersive Mardi Gras-themed murder mystery dinner this weekend at the CTA Event Center in downtown Gulfport.
The event, titled “Who Killed the King of Bling,” is set for Saturday at 6 p.m.
“It’s different. It’s just a nice evening of fun and mystery and drama,” said sorority president Searcy Taylor.
The show features a local cast that will interact with guests throughout the evening. The plot is set in New Orleans during Mardi Gras.
Taylor said every attendee is considered a suspect, including characters portraying a sheriff and a deputy.

“It is my hope that everybody will be involved,” Taylor said. “As much involvement as you’d like.”
Attendees are encouraged to dress in Mardi Gras casual attire. The three-course dinner will be catered and will include Mardi Gras-themed food.
The event serves as a major fundraiser for the chapter’s scholarship and community programs.
A silent auction will also take place during the evening, with all proceeds going toward those same initiatives.
Tickets can be purchased online.
