GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - Danica Hart is bringing her Open Hart Sessions to South Mississippi this week, starting with a performance on Thursday in Gulfport.
Hart, known for her work with the country music group Chapel Hart, is now performing as a solo artist.
“I always knew I was going to be in a trio my whole life,” Hart said. “So now when you look over and it’s just you, it feels like the weight of it is riding on you.”
Hart said she has become “the poster child for do it anyway” as she navigates her solo career.

Hart said the shows were created after she decided to keep her commitments following the band’s split. Hart described the sessions as an intimate moment.
“I get to sit down, and we talk about all the matters of the heart,” she said. “If anybody’s looking for a source of inspiration or motivation for moms and dads, or maybe you just hit that sink in your life, come see me,” Hart said.

Hart will perform at Campground Baptist Church in Gulfport on Thursday, March 26, at 7 p.m.
“I’m already excited and geared up about it, and Campground Baptist Church is ready for it,” Hart said.
She will also perform at the Stone County Fairgrounds on Saturday, March 28, at 7 p.m. Another performance will take place in Petal on April 3.
