D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WLOX) - Jersey Mike’s is raising money for athletes attending the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games.
The fundraising effort allows customers to round up their orders to the next dollar or make direct donations to Special Olympics USA throughout March.
The campaign includes a Day of Giving on Wednesday, March 25, when 100 percent of sales from Jersey Mike’s Subs in D’Iberville and other locations across the country will be donated to Special Olympics USA.
Bob Boyte, owner of Bob Boyte Honda and a Special Olympics bocce coach, said this is an important cause.
“I think that we all want to enhance the lives of people who have intellectual disabilities, and sometimes even persuade people’s perception of that,” Boyte said. “But for me, it’s really the achievement that the athletes put out, you know, the effort that they put out. And it’s the human spirit that you can see through them.”

Heather Boyte, a Special Olympics athlete who has won multiple gold medals, said she competes for fun.
“You get two different sides of it. You get the ones that go into the competitive side, and then the ones that do it just for fun. And I’m the one that does it just for fun,” she said.
Eight locations in Mississippi are participating in the Day of Giving. Jersey Mike’s Subs in D’Iberville is located at 3821B Promenade Parkway.
Nationwide Jersey Mike’s hopes to raise enough money to help every qualifying athlete across the country attend the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minneapolis in June.
