PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WLOX) - A 13-year-old Gulf Coast musician is releasing a new blues rock-inspired track this week after writing the song and playing every instrument on the recording.
Lennon Gainey wrote “Endless Mirrors” during the Mississippi Songwriters Camp at the Mary O’Keefe Cultural Arts Center in Ocean Springs.
“I spent 40 minutes thinking about what to write in a dressing room, and I saw these two mirrors that were facing each other, and they were endless,” Gainey said.
Gainey played guitar, bass, and drums on the track. He said he has been playing musical instruments since he was five.

“Once you get the use of guitar, you kind of get the use of bass and all that good stuff,” Gainey said.

Ear Candy Coalition, a nonprofit organization, helped produce the song and music video for Gainey. Scott Henry said the organization also supports several musicians across the region.
“Lennon is just one of many people that we helped, but it’s time to showcase him this weekend,” Henry said.
A release party for “Endless Mirrors” will be held on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Jack’s By The Tracks in Pascagoula, located at 709 Krebs Avenue.
Gainey has his sights set high, with a long-term ambition he hopes to achieve in his career.
“To go into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because a lot of people that I look up to was in there,” Gainey said.
