BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - A production crew is transforming the Fillin’ Station restaurant in Biloxi into a film set.
A casting call was posted for a John Travolta stand-in, whose role is to mimic the actor so the crew can properly set up and adjust the lighting. Another casting call was posted for three people to appear as customers dining at a Chinese restaurant.

Goleman Casting, LLC posted the casting calls for a film titled “That’s Amore!” featuring Travolta, which is being shot in South Mississippi.
The company said the movie follows a man who has never been married and a woman guarded by her past as they meet, with their families becoming humorously involved.
Filming dates are listed from March 25 through April 27.

According to city officials, Main Street will be closed from Howard Avenue north to MLK Boulevard while crews work.

There’s no clear timeline for how long filming will continue in downtown Biloxi.
Travolta has previously worked on film projects in South Mississippi. In April 2025, the actor was in Ocean Springs filming “Cash Out 3.” Travolta also spent time in South Mississippi filming “Cash Out 2: High Rollers.”
