Building a Gulf Coast reputation

The family has built the restaurant’s reputation with bold flavor and service.

“Not only is the food great, but the service is fantastic and we want you to feel like this is your home, like you want to come back and eat here,” Gindy Taranto said.

“Somebody said, ‘You need to go to Taranto’s and try the crawfish,’ and so I did and that’s been several years ago and I’ve been coming here ever since,” Blakeney said.

Looking ahead

Gindy Taranto said the family has weathered hurricanes, hard times and changing seasons.

“I just felt really humbled that we’ve made it through and that we’re still going strong, and we’re lucky that we have two kids that are interested in the business and they want to see it go further,” Gindy Taranto said.

Kyle Taranto said the milestone is for the customers.

“I can’t say it enough how much I love our customers, and all of this is for them,” Kyle Taranto said.
