HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The Hattiesburg Zoo is welcoming its newest residents: three baby spider monkeys named Cider, Holly and Juniper.

When the monkeys first arrived in Hattiesburg in late 2025, they were smaller than a sweet potato.

The monkeys are now the size of a pineapple and are finally ready to meet some guests.

All three babies will be in an indoor glass viewing area at the Asbury Discovery Center starting Tuesday. This environment will allow them to slowly adjust to the sights and sounds of the busy zoo.

Cider, Holly and Juniper will stay there until they are big enough to be introduced into the zoo’s spider monkey enclosure along the South America Boardwalk.
