MOSS POINT, Miss. (WLOX) — Moss Point native Daniel Stallworth advanced to the Top 7 on American Idol after his performance during Disney Night.
Stallworth sang a rendition of “A Whole New World” from Aladdin.
The judges praised his performance, pointing out his confidence, skill, and how much feeling he put into it.
“It felt like it was made for you and your voice, and it seemed so easy, just beautiful,” said country star and judge Carrie Underwood.
Fellow judge Lionel Richie agreed, emphasizing how natural and powerful the performance felt.

“Your sermon was amazing, and more importantly, it was so natural. You were just giving God’s gift to us, and it was so powerful,” said Richie.
Guest judge Jennifer Hudson took it even further, praising the performance’s impact and presence.
“All I want to say is the doors to the church are now open. After that performance you ministered, you owned it,” said Hudson.
The Top 7 will perform Taylor Swift’s music on next Monday’s episode of American Idol on WLOX ABC.
