BAY ST. LOUIS — New and expecting parents in Hancock County can receive free resources and education at a community baby shower May 7 at the Bay St. Louis Library.

United Way of South Mississippi is partnering with the Hancock County Library System and the Hancock Health Foundation to provide the community baby shower.

The event will be open from 12:30 to 4 p.m. All Hancock County residents who are expecting a child or have a baby younger than 9 months will be given priority enrollment notification.

While the event is free to attend, organizers encourage preregistration to ensure seating is available because space is limited.

“Guests will receive generously donated items to support the health and wellness of their growing family, as well as important information and materials related to tummy health, dental health, infant CPR and safety, milestones and more,” event developmental organizers said.

Registration is required. If the event's capacity is reached, new applicants will be placed on a waitlist.

For more information and the registration form, visit the Hancock County Library System website or email kcaldwell@unitedwaysm.org.
