GAUTIER, Miss. (WLOX) — Ice Cube will perform at The Sound Amphitheater in Gautier on Sunday, May 3, bringing decades of music to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The rapper, actor, and Big3 League CEO said it has been a long time since he last performed in Mississippi.
“I haven’t been there in a while, and to be able to hit Mississippi is going to be fun,” Ice Cube said.
The show will feature songs from throughout his career, including his work with N.W.A. and his solo hits. Ice Cube said “It Was a Good Day” is his biggest song and a must-play at every show.
“If I don’t play that, it’s going to be trouble,” he said. “That’s my biggest song. People love the record, since 1992, and it’s a must-have.”

“They don’t get a chance to see me in person too often, and we’re gonna have a good time,” he said.

Beyond music, Ice Cube has worked on film series including “Friday” and “Barbershop.” He also recently became CEO of the Big3 League, a professional three-on-three basketball league.
“This is our ninth year. I’m extremely proud of it,” he said.
