PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WLOX) — On Wednesday, hundreds of people made their way to Pass Christian for the kickoff of Jeepin’ the Coast 2026.
Festivities will continue through Sunday in Long Beach, but today, it was all about Pass Christian, with food, live music, and Jeeps taking over Market Street by Bacchus on the Beach.
Both the regulars and the uninitiated were happy to be showing off their rides.
Joe Johnson, a jeeper from Mantee, Mississippi, said he particularly enjoys the simple pleasure of driving on backroads with his friends.
“It’s one of those things that we like, and, like I said, we decided to spend our money on this instead of a bass boat or a ski boat or something like that,” he said.
