BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) — Edgewater Piano Company opened its doors this week at Edgewater Mall, bringing piano lessons and acoustic piano sales to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Owners Jacob and Sarah Hatch said the business began with more than four years of teaching piano lessons in the mall before expanding into a full storefront.
The company teaches dozens of students and features a gallery of acoustic pianos.
“Also, we kind of just honed in on the pianos, because there hasn’t been a piano gallery here with acoustic pianos for some time. And so we wanted to bring music and acoustic pianos back to the coast,” Jacob Hatch said. “Right now, if anybody wants a piano, they’d have to go to either Mobile or New Orleans in order to get an acoustic piano and get a shift. But now we’ve got one here on the Mississippi Coast.”
