GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) — At the Mississippi Aquarium, dads got in free Sunday as families celebrated Father’s Day with an underwater adventure.
Families at the Mississippi Aquarium made a splash together. For many dads, the free admission was a bonus.

For Charlie McClantoc, the greatest part of fatherhood is watching his children grow up.
“Watching your babies grow up to be big babies,” McClantoc said.
His son Charles said he is grateful for his dad.

“He tries his best. He’s very good at everything he does and he tries his hardest to give me and my sister a good life,” Charles McClantoc said.

Steve Tolley was celebrating more than one generation of fatherhood.
“It’s a special thing and a grandaddy even comes in, not that they are any better, it just kind of reminds you of the whole thing all over again,” Tolley said.
For his son Josh, becoming a dad has been one of life’s greatest blessings.
“It’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever gotten to do is be a dad. It’s really special to be able to do it and my parents see her grow up and help out and get to do stuff like this,” Josh Tolley said.

For Tyquan Evans, Father’s Day was another chance to spend time with his children.
“They bring my me joy and everything I need. I get up every morning and go to work just to provide for them. Make sure they got everything, like she said I don’t tell them no, make sure they got every toy and everything they need,” Evans said.
His daughter Addisyn didn’t hesitate when asked about her dad.
“My dad is the best dad ever,” Addisyn Evans said.

Tyquan Evans said some of the most important lessons are the ones his children learn early.
“Just play with him as much as I can and teach him how to be a good dad too,” Evans said.
Families said the memories they made together were o-fish-ally the best part of Father’s Day.
