D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WLOX) — On Tuesday, the D’Iberville City Council approved a resolution of support and incentives for a BJ’s Wholesale Club.
BJ’s is a membership-based retailer that sells groceries, home decor, small appliances, clothing, and more.
The development would be at the corner of Popp’s Ferry Road and D’Iberville Boulevard.
The proposed site is the same location where the Sports Illustrated Resort project had been planned.
City Manager Bobby Weaver said the deal is not finalized. The company must still purchase the land, but the council’s action was a key step toward moving the project forward.

In March, D’Iberville Mayor Rusty Quave told WLOX he hopes to bring in several retailers to that area.
