HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The University of Southern Mississippi is getting ready to host hundreds of the best marching musicians in the world.
The Drum Corps International (DCI) tour will make a return trip to The Rock at USM Wednesday night.
It’s a competition that will feature seven drum and bugle corps, from California to Massachusetts.
Tuesday, one of the corps, The Blue Devils from Concord, California, fine-tuned its show in 100-degree heat at The Rock.
“We’ve been coming to Hattiesburg; at least a decade we’ve been coming to Hattiesburg. Everybody treats us great here; the community’s really nice, the university treats us really well,” The Blue Devils’ Visual Caption Head and Manager, Jaime Holly, said.

“The weather can get a bit sticky, but we manage - lots of water breaks and try to manage best we can, but love coming to Hattiesburg, such a cool community.”
