JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A massive LEGO convention is coming to Jackson next month, bringing professional LEGO artists, celebrity meet-and-greets, and millions of bricks to the Mississippi Trade Mart.
The Jackson Brick Convention will take place on Saturday, Sept. 26, and Sunday, Sept. 27. Organizers warn that tickets, priced at $14.99, are expected to sell out this week.
The event comes after the announcement that Mississippi’s first LEGO store is slated to come to the Renaissance in Ridgeland.
Interactive zones and attractions
The event is designed for LEGO fans of all ages and will feature several dedicated spaces:
- The Construction Zone & Brick Pits: Creative spaces filled with thousands of bricks for attendees to build their own creations.
- Star Wars Zone: A dedicated display featuring detailed creations from the Star Wars universe.
- Castle Build Zone: An area dedicated to building medieval LEGO structures on-site.
- Fan Zone: A display showcasing epic LEGO creations built by local fan builders.
- LEGO Retail: A shopping area with multiple vendors offering retired, new, and hard-to-find LEGO sets and merchandise.
Meet LEGO celebrities and artists
In addition to the hands-on building zones, professional LEGO artists from across the United States will be on hand to showcase their custom models and meet with attendees. Fans can also participate in meet-and-greets with LEGO celebrities, including cast members from the television show LEGO Masters.
