GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) — A tribute band dedicated to Ozzy Osbourne, known as the Prince of Darkness, is performing this weekend at MGCCC’s Immersive Media Performing Arts Center.
The band, Flying High Again, is led by singer Colton Beasley. The group formed in 2020 and has continued performing following Osbourne’s death last year, drawing fans of all ages.
“We get together, we get to sing the songs, hang out with each other, and keep the legacy alive,” Beasley said.
Beasley said Osbourne’s music was part of his childhood and was the first concert he ever attended.
“Ozzy has always been a big part of my life,” Beasley said.

He said performing Osbourne’s songs for fans feels like “a big family reunion,” bringing together people who have their own memories of seeing Osbourne perform.
“I could never fill the shoes of Ozzy, but I am very happy to sing his songs for his people, for his fans,” Beasley said.
Beasley said the band has never performed at the Immersive Media Performing Arts Center or elsewhere on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
“We have never been to this beautiful center, so we’re very excited,” Beasley said.
He hopes fans who have never seen Osbourne perform leave with an interest in listening to his music.

The performance is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m. The MGCCC Immersive Media Performing Arts Center is located at 409 DeBuys Road in Gulfport.
