PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WLOX) — Pascagoula’s Beach Park is set to come alive with culture, music, and community this weekend as the city celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with the return of Festival Hispano de Pascagoula.
The daylong festival is on Saturday, Sept. 19, from noon to 7 p.m. at Pascagoula Beach Park. Organizers promise a full lineup of family-friendly activities.
“You can expect a little bit of everything from live music, dancing, amazing food, local vendors, and activities for the whole family,” said Lourdes Paniagua, one of the event’s organizers. “The Hispanic community makes up a large part of the Gulf Coast. So why not learn about each other?”
Roughly 65 vendors have signed up, featuring local food, arts and crafts, and community resources.
Community organizers and Main Street Pascagoula collaborated on the festival, supported by local business owners and industry partners who began preparations months ago.

“With it being September and Hispanic Heritage Month, it’s the perfect time to bring everyone together for this whole-day event,” said Olivia Randle, Executive Director of Main Street Pascagoula.
Festivities will kick off early in the day with performances by local youth dancers. Families can also take advantage of activities for children, including face painting and balloon animals.
Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.
