BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) — Banana Ball took over Keesler Federal Park Friday night, with the Firefighters facing off against the Loco Beach Coconuts.
Fans packed the plaza earlier in the afternoon for a pregame party that included live music, player meet-and-greets, and mini games of baseball.
Crowds filled the stands around 5:30 p.m. with anticipation as the two-hour matchup got underway. Banana Ball is known as the “greatest show in sports,” and fans can expect surprise guests, impromptu dances, and interactive games throughout.
The Biloxi Fire Department even came onto the field to be part of the Firefighters team walkout.
Reagan Dilmore said she and her family were drawn to the sport because it’s family friendly.

“There aren’t many family events anymore that you can take your kids to that are safe. The whole family loves it. Like, it’s fun for the adults and the children. It’s just a great atmosphere.”
The Firefighters defeated the Loco Beach Coconuts 5-3. The two teams face off again Saturday at 7 p.m.
