WAVELAND, Miss. (WLOX) — Brittany Gill has spent years building Amur Aesthetics in Waveland on principles she said help women heal, grow, and love themselves more.
“In my business, it’s so much more than a facial. It is so much more than a service. You are so much more than a paycheck. To me it’s about creating a safe space for women to come and heal a part of themselves,” Gill said.
Gill is originally from Louisiana and attended John Jay Beauty College in 2015. After graduation, she moved to South Mississippi to work as an esthetician, eventually working her way up to owning her own business.
“Because so many women wear so many different hats. We’re the moms, we’re the business owners, we’re rushing to sports, we are doing so many different things. And when they leave, they feel refreshed, they feel like a new person, and so many times they’re like I needed that so much,” Gill said.
Gill said she offers facials with several other treatments.

“I have a few different facials. I do a gentleman’s refresher for the guys if they want to get facials. The best one I do is the BSL three-in-one. That is where I combine two of my best facials into one,” Gill said.
In 2025, Gill was crowned Miss Voluptuous USA South. She said the title gave her a platform to connect with women on mental health and domestic violence awareness.
“I really wanted to be a voice for women, and I realized that the pageant gave me that platform and the chance to do it,” Gill said. “I was stepping out of my comfort zone to show them that they can do it too. That learning to love yourself comes in different forms and different ways, and this was my way of healing and reaching women to help them heal.”
Amur Aesthetics is located at 314 Highway 90 in Waveland. Gill said she looks forward to expanding the business in the future.
