GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) — The classic cars have left Jones Park, and crews are already preparing for the holiday season.
Just two days after Cruisin’ the Coast wrapped up Sunday, Oct. 11, work began Tuesday, Oct. 13, to transform the area from Cruise Central into the Gulfport Harbor Lights Winter Festival.

The annual holiday attraction features 1.5 million lights spread across the park’s 40 acres, including the festival’s dazzling dancing trees.

Although temperatures remain in the 80s and Halloween is still weeks away, the countdown to the holiday display is already underway. Harbor Lights is scheduled to open Nov. 28. Tickets will go on sale Nov. 1 online.
