GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) — Church’s Chicken off of Pass Road in Gulfport is open after being closed for several months.
A block party was held celebrating the restaurant’s re-opening.
The original building was demolished and a new one was built in its spot.
Church’s Chicken Senior Marketing Manager Robin Lomax said they rebuilt the store to serve the community longer.
“Churches is a legacy brand. So, you know, we’ve been here. We’re getting ready to celebrate our 75th anniversary. So with that, we have we have some buildings that are a little on the aging side. And so as a company, what we’re doing is going in and remodeling or rebuilding a lot of our locations. It really, really helps with the look of the community. And we want to be part of our community for even more years than we’ve been in the community so far,” Lomax said.
