BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) — The Michelin Guide released its 2026 recommended restaurant selection for the American South, including restaurants in South Mississippi.
“In its second year, the Michelin Guide American South continues to reveal the remarkable talent and diversity of the region’s culinary landscape,” said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guide. “As our anonymous Inspectors continued to explore the South, they found not only exciting momentum in established dining destinations, but also exceptional restaurants in smaller communities and unexpected corners of the region. We are delighted to celebrate the talented restaurant teams recognized in this year’s selection.”
The guide, which has more than 200 restaurants, covers Mississippi along with Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
The selections reflect restaurants visited and evaluated by Michelin’s anonymous inspectors, who gave the recognized establishments their approval.
The list featured four Coast restaurants, including one making its debut.

The newest addition to the Michelin recommended list is Maringouin in Ocean Springs.
The restaurant is a full-service eatery with a speakeasy surprise, blending craft cocktails with a fresh, locally inspired menu.
Maringouin is located inside the Roost Boutique Hotel at 604 Porter Ave.

Three South Mississippi restaurants have earned a spot on the list for a second consecutive year.
The Siren Social Club, at Hotel Vela, is a speakeasy-style restaurant and bar serving European cuisine and a variety of handmade pastas.

The restaurant is located at 1409 24th Ave. in Gulfport.
White Pillars offers farm-to-table cuisine featuring fresh, local ingredients and flavors of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The restaurant, along with Siren Social Club, is led by Chef Austin Sumrall.
Vestige features a seasonally driven menu with locally sourced vegetables and Gulf fish.
The restaurant is located at 715 Washington Ave. in Ocean Springs.
