WIGGINS, Miss. (WLOX) — Flint Creek in Stone County will host its annual Trick-or-Treat the Campground on Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m.
The Halloween event comes as campground renovations continue.

The event will include food trucks, vendors, activities for children, and a lot of candy.
“Then we’ll have a golf cart parade that Saturday, and they’ll judge the golf cart that’s best decorated and just a lot of fun,” said Michael Clark, Flint Creek Water Park Manager.
A DJ with karaoke is also planned, and a costume contest will be a part of the event.

Clark said the campground is at capacity this weekend and no spots are available.
Renovations
Flint Creek has 34 cabins and 12 bunkhouses. Clark said 15 have been renovated so far.
“We go in and strip the cabin down on the inside and redo everything. New floors, furniture, appliances, paint inside and out, windows. It’s a total remodel,” Clark said.
A new campground is also being built to expand the existing campground.
Flint Creek moved to an online reservation system in early September.

“That’s something that our constituents, our clients, have asked for a long time, and we’re very proud to have that,” said Danny Box, director of the Pat Harrison Waterway District.
He said the transition has gone well for everyone.
“We’ve only heard good reports from that transition,” Box said.
