PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WLOX) — Anderson’s Bakery in Pascagoula was busy Friday morning as customers stopped by to pick up Halloween treats.
The bakery sold 176 dozen pumpkin cookies this week, totaling more than 2,100 cookies. Bakers started as early as 2 a.m. to keep up with demand.
With Halloween falling on a Saturday this year, the bakery said it is seeing an especially busy season.
“We love Halloween. Celebrate with all the pumpkin cookies, everyone gets so excited,” bakery manager Kaitee Smith said. “We normally decorate a lot more, but we have been extremely busy this year, and we are grateful for that, grateful for all the people that come in.”
With Halloween almost here, Anderson’s Bakery is already preparing for its next two busy seasons: Thanksgiving and Christmas.
