OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WLOX) — Many festivalgoers experienced a new way to get to the Peter Anderson Festival this year.
Amtrak provided a temporary stop in Ocean Springs for the festival, giving visitors another way to experience the two-day event.

Passengers traveled to Ocean Springs from both Mobile and New Orleans, with multiple departure times available.
Mayor Bobby Cox says the temporary stop gives riders a chance to experience what Ocean Springs has to offer.
“People found out who we were; they talked to us, they said, ‘Listen, we’re on our way from New Orleans to Ocean Springs; we can’t wait to get there for the festival.’ You don’t know how good of a feeling that is to know that people want to come to our city the way they do,” he said.

The temporary stop is located at the L&N Train Depot. The festival continues from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
