Lauren Daigle rocks The Sound Amphitheater stage in Gautier in front of sold-out crowd

GAUTIER, Miss. (WLOX) - Friday evening, Christian artist Lauren Daigle performed to a sold-out crowd at The Sound Amphitheater in Gautier.

Daigle began the night with a live Q&A with the VIP audience an hour before she took the stage.

Meanwhile, thousands of Daigle’s fans lined the surrounding streets waiting to get their spots by the stage.

Some fans even drove in from nearby states to see the popular artists live.

Gautier Mayor Vaughan says he is ecstatic to have Daigle perform for the community.

Mayor Vaughan says, “Everybody’s like, ‘This is in our backyards now, we don’t have to go somewhere.’ And when you are trying to revitalize the city and give rebirth, we have rebirthed Gautier, Mississippi, and Jackson County and coastal Mississippi with the venue we have here.”

Mayor Vaughan says to be on the lookout as The Sound Amphitheater plans to start phase three of development.

The newest phase will include treehouses, pickleball courts, and pavilions.
