OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (GULF COAST WEEKEND) - For four days, more than 100 talented songwriters and performers will take over the streets and venues of Ocean Springs and Gautier for the Mississippi Songwriters Festival. And best of all, it’s all free!

The celebration gets underway Thursday, Sept 15 at 7 p.m. with the MS Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Live at the Mary C O’Keefe Theater. Neon Moon will host a performance afterparty from 9 p.m. - until.

Moose Brown - wrote “It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere” and longtime member of Bob Segers Silver Bullet Band

David Lee - Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s “I Need You”

Mark Sherill - Blake Shelton’s “Ole Red”

Dave Pahanish - Toby Keith’s  “American Ride”, “Do you Believe Me Know”

Jason Duke - penned Kelsea Ballerini’s “Dibs” and Keith Urban’s “That Could Still Be Us”

Tricia Walker - Born and raised in Mississippi has written songs for Faith Hill, Patty Loveless, Alison Krauss and many others.
